Den udbudte opgave omfatter transport, sortering og genanvendelse af plastaffald. Plastaffaldet er blevet indsamlet som en del af restaffaldet fra husholdninger i Københavns Kommune, Frederiksberg Kommune og Tårnby Kommune og dernæst udsorteret på sorteringsanlæg hos Amager Ressourcecenter (ARC). Det forventes, at sorteringsanlægget bliver idriftsat i 4. kvartal af 2026, og kommer i fuld drift i løbet af seks måneder. Når anlægget bliver taget i drift, vil der blive udsorteret fire affaldstyper: Mad- og Drikkekartoner, Plast, Pap/Papir og Metal.
