Οι παιδικές χαρές αποτελούν πλέον τα ελάχιστα κομμάτια πολεοδομικού ιστού σε μια πόλη, τα οποία για μεγάλο αριθμό παιδιών και εφήβων αποτελούν τους μοναδικούς χώρους υπαίθριων δραστηριοτήτων, αναψυχής, διασκέδασης και παιχνιδιού. Η λειτουργία, οργάνωση και σχεδιασμός αυτών των χώρων διέπεται από την υπ’ αριθμ. 28492/2009 (ΦΕΚ 931/Β/18.05.2009) Απόφαση του Υπ. Εσωτερικών, όπως τροποποιήθηκε με την απόφαση 27934/11.07.2014 (2029/25.07.2014.) Η παρούσα μελέτη αφορά στην ανάπλαση υφιστάμενων παιδικών χαρών, με την προμήθεια και τοποθέτηση παιχνιδιών, δαπέδων, ανταλλακτικών εξαρτημάτων που έχουν φθαρεί ή βανδαλιστεί ή που εκλείπουν και απαιτούνται για την ορθή και ασφαλή λειτουργία των παιδικών χαρών του Δήμου Νίκαιας- Αγ.Ι.Ρέντη. Επιπλέον περιλαμβάνει υπηρεσίες συντήρησης και επισκευής των παιδικών χαρών του Δήμου στα πλαίσια προγράμματος συντήρησης καθώς και ανοίγματος – κλεισίματος επιλεγμένων παιδικών χαρών προκειμένου να διατηρηθεί το επίπεδο ασφαλείας τους σύμφωνα με τα ευρωπαϊκά πρότυπα ασφαλείας και τις προδιαγραφές που έχει ορίσει το Υπουργείο Εσωτερικών.
