En raison d'un besoin récent de soutenir d'autres sites universitaires, une extension des zones d'animalerie existantes est prévue. Les prestations prévues après l'extension comprennent le transport et la stérilisation d'environ 1 200 cages, 1 200 flacons et 20 racks dans une zone de lavage spécialement aménagée à cet effet. Ces processus nécessitent l'acquisition d'un nouveau laveur de racks ainsi que d'une nouvelle installation de lavage de flacons avec station de remplissage et système d'acidification.
