La Universidad de Zaragoza ofrece a los miembros de su comunidad, junto con otros servicios académicos, otros servicios universitarios para el buen funcionamiento. Los Colegios Mayores Universitarios proporcionan residencia a los estudiantes, promueven la formación cultural y científica de sus residentes y proyectan su actividad al servicio de la comunidad universitaria. Para el buen funcionamiento del C. M. U. Ramón Acín es necesario ofrecer el servicio de comedor para atender la demanda de los usuarios, y carece de recursos humanos y materiales propios para el desarrollo, organización y gestión del servicio de restauración, por lo que se hace necesario la contratación de una empresa colaboradora para la realización de dichos fines.
