SDF koopt namens de 18 Friese gemeenten Kleinschalige Specialistische Woonvoorzieningen (KSW) in. De KSW zijn onderdeel van de transformatie in de jeugdhulp, waarin we streven naar een systeem waarin jongeren zoveel mogelijk thuis kunnen opgroeien, regulier onderwijs volgen en actief deelnemen aan de samenleving. In de huidige voorzieningen in Friesland lukt het ons voor een deel van de jeugdigen niet om passende zorg te organiseren. Hierdoor worden jeugdigen met een zeer complexe hulpvraag veelvuldig doorgeplaatst, wat schadelijk is voor de verdere ontwikkeling van de jeugdige. De KSW is een behandel woonvoorziening, waar zeer intensieve begeleiding geboden wordt. Er wordt aangesloten bij de principes van zo thuis, normalisering, integrale hulp en herstelgericht werken.
