Über der Bundeswasserstraße ist die Geh- und Radwegbrücke als Klappbrücke (25,74 m) mit Hydraulikantrieb ausgebildet sowie werden Leitwerke und Wartestellen errichtet. Das Hauptfeld (70,00 m) über die Warnow besteht aus einem Zügelgurt-Tragwerk mit Seilabspannungen an hohen Stahlpylonen, wobei durch die gebogene Linienführung des Bauwerks eine einseitige Aufhängung des Decks konzipiert wurde. Gegründet wird das Bauwerk im Gewässer auf eingebrachten Stahlrohrpfählen als Monopiles bzw. als Pfahlböcke in den Pylonen- und Klappbrückenachsen. Die Gründung des Kaibauwerk erfolgt durch eine Landgewinnung im Spundwandkasten und eingebrachten Stahlrohrpfählen. Das Widerlager Nord wird ebenfalls auf Stahlrohrpfählen tiefgegründet. Der Überbau besteht aus einem Stahltragwerk sowie einer Betonfahrbahnplatte, das gestaltete Geländer besteht aus einer Drahtgitterfüllung. Zudem wird das Bauwerk mit einer Beleuchtung ausgestattet.
